Alright, first off, welcome to AMN, or A Moonlit Night! We've been open now since February and still going strong! We've changed a lot about the site since we had a change over (7/20/2012) but nothing you couldn't possbily keep up with! So first things first. I want to direct you to the rules |
Okay, finished with the rules?? Perfect! Since that's finished, we need to head over to the plot so you know what is going on exactly. It'd be a bit embarrassing going in and not knowing what's going on exactly... There's not much to read I promise, and it's pretty simple.
Since you've finished that, I just want to pull you to the side so we can talk about the cliques. Our cliques are based on ranks in society rather than in a school or college and whatnot. So let's cover the Loyalists, first. With the loyalists, they are those who know the family for years and are extremely close with them. They have direct contact. They can even be married into the family and be considered loyalists. This is an important rank. Not many can just get into this rank, they work up to it, and your character can! That's the great part! Being a loyalist, you get all of the respect and treatment a family would without the authority. It's like this. A king and queen get mucho respect from their court and have all of the authority in the world. Come on, they beheaded people! The court gets respect, but they don't have the authority the king and queen does... The king and queen is who they turn to for permission. Understand? Great! Moving on.
The next clique I'd like to cover is the knights. The knights are the ones that WORK FOR the families. Even the loyalists. They are the ones that are loyal, but paid. And because of that money, their alliance is solely with that family. Unless there were a higher bidder. Which is absolutely possible but not easy. Cops, lawyers, people who work in important positions in society get this rank. They are considered perminant workers.
Don't worry, we're almost finished. Only two more to go! Subjects and Jesters are pretty similar in they are both at the bottom of the pyramid. Subjects tend to do the dirty work. For instance, if they're working for the Silverias they can be drug runners, dealers, strippers, dancers, hookers, anything really that brings money in. For the Sabers, they can be bartenders, librarians who offer important documents, computer nerds, any do-gooders that work in a coffee shop! The list goes on. For Jesters, they're usually the person who plays both sides of the cards and... they get away with it. They're good at what they do. These people tend to run or stick close to casinos, waitressing at clubs or restaurants, even maids.. They work a dangerous jobs... Piss off the wrong people and they could lose their lives.
Alright, that covers the major cliques. Of course you have the Saber and Silveria families, but if you want to be in that group, which is pretty tight knit, you have to ask an administrator. They have to approve you, or they'll direct you to some adoptables. Usually, only those adoptables are open and have to be taken. That's it.
Moving on. So you've seen the rules, plot, cliques, now let's go to the claims. Our Face claims are pretty vast, but there's still a lot of room!. people have always pointed out my job claims. Your job depends on your loyalty. If you are loyal to the sabers, you can find jobs in Newport. But if you're loyal to the Silverias, you go to South Beach. However, if you're neutral, there might be a slight problem.
There's a few things I'd like to talk about now. It's the CopyCat, WhatISee, and the Slenderman. You're probably asking, what do they have to do with anything? Well I'll tell you. The CopyCat started everything. He'd terrorize people by manipulating them and using their loved ones against them by hanging them over their heads. He'd issue riddles that were to be solved and if they weren't, that person would have to chose between two people they love. Even if you choose one to be safe, you never know what the CopyCat will do with the one you choose. He could very well torture your character. Now for WhatISee, or WIS. WIS is supposedly on the Cat's side. She, yes she, is in cahoots with him, but that doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't have her own thing. She does. Now for the Slenderman. Most of you I'm sure have heard of the mythological Slenderman, yes? Well like the copycat, SM is mimicking what the Slenderman is supposed to do, and actually do it. He gets into your characters heads, messes with them, makes them think they have all of the symptoms to tell that they are supposed to die. It's pretty epic. These are our gossip channels. They target people. But, you are able to interact with them! Always. They'll pop into chat some time, or peek into your threads and such. Just wait, it's fun.
So now you no the basics! Everything there is to know about AMN up one side down the other, and even under it's skirts. Or.. Yeah. Anyway, since you know all of that, we'll get you back to the application. Our application is first person and here's the cool thing! If you have an incomplete application but can't finish because you're not quite sure what the personality is like, then ask us and we may, just may, give you access to the IC so you can finish your application! But you have to ask first!
This pretty much covers everything. If there is anything else, please feel free to ask! Oh, before you go, there is no character limit and no word limit. Just make sure you post equally or respectfully enough to the other player so we don't have problems! Thanks guys! We appreciate it a lot! [/div][/style]
