What does one think of when they think of Emmalynn? Well, she's shy around strangers but seems to warm up pretty fast to anyone that's nice to her. Then she's eager to please that person no matter what they put her through, to the point of becoming rather obsessed with said person. While that person is not wholey creeped out by her obsession people can see that she's a very curious, adventurous person who can be pretty chatty, but also pretty fearful of a lot of things and rather emotional.
One such fear includes a fear and hatred for homosexuals. This solely stems from her mother, who she refers to as Gina, that cheated on her father with another woman, Jean. The bond between mother and daughter has crumbled since Emmy has found this out and neither side has tried to right the issue. Emmalynn doesn't approve of such same-sex relationships, and if she finds out such people are her friends, she would do everything in her power to avoid them. And if she can't avoid them, she'd probably breakdown into tears.

Emmalynn is pretty loyal to anyone who's at least nice to her. She considers people friends pretty easily, however, she's also pretty naive and gullible. She's pretty suspectible to peer pressure and has a hard time disappointing people. It's actually pretty hard to get rid of her once she does consider you a friend, but one successful way is if she finds out your gay or bisexual. Granted, she's also lost great friendships this way.

Everyone has enemies, and Emmalynn is no different. People who know she dislikes homosexuals often may be resentful to her for this despite the fact that she never really voices her viewpoint here. Also past friends that she's learned swung the 'wrong' way in her viewpoint often end up here. Because she can get scared pretty easily she's pretty easy to pick on, and very insecure. She's not a fighter and would rather runaway from a brawl than be in one.

Emmy has never been in a relationship, and though she would like to be doesn't really know how to get there. She doesn't really know how to flirt, and when it comes to her personal crushes she's actually too shy to really admit up to it or persue them.

Her homophobia is based solely on her mother's bad judgement and selfishness. Because she's so suspectible to other people and their viewpoints, it's likely with perssasion her views could be changed, she just needs someone to help her get there.
